Snowshoe 3/22 Crystal Springs Sno-Park

Get that winter-wonderland feeling as we wind through the forest trails at this popular area east of Snoqualmie Pass. The gentle snowshoe trails here are great for any experience level, the scenery is nice, and the snow should be plentiful. Another fun feature-- we often get to see sled dog teams on this tour. They practice on the Palouse to Cascades Trail that intersects our route. Be sure to book a snowshoe rental if you need to borrow snowshoes and poles from me.

Expected Conditions:

The snow storms from last week ensured that there would still be a good snowpack at this area, with most areas here having close to 2 feet on the gorund. There are marked snowshoe trails to follow which provide a nice tour around the area. Most areas are gentle, but there are some uphills, so don't expect a totally flat tour. We'll do about 2-3 miles on the snow, which could include some off-trail wanderings if the snowpack is suitable. We'll mostly be in forested terrain, with occasional views through the trees at the surrounding scenery.

Other Considerations:

Use the snowshoers checklist if you want help getting organized for the trip. Pack food and water in your pack and plan to eat lunch while we're out on the snow. A map of the Crystal Springs Trails System can be found here.

I need all trip participants to update and submit a Hold Harmless Form for 2026.  Click here to go to the form page.
