Hike 6/23 Bridal Veil Falls

Get up close and feel the spray from this popular waterfall near Index. We'll hike right up to the base of a 200-foot-high curtain of water that is only one of the seven total drops made by this grand 1300-foot falls. Enjoy the forest scenery along the way, and the panoramic views over the Skykomish River valley below. Even on a misty or wet day, this spot is a treat-- easily one of the best waterfalls in the region. The trail is sometimes steep, so we'll take it slow and get everyone up to the falls.
Expected Conditions:
The trail to the falls is open and in good condition. There are occasionally steep and rough sections on this trail. We'll go slow and make sure everyone can handle the challenges. This can be a busy trail any day of the week when the weather is good, so expect lots of company out there.
Other Considerations:
Wear good traction hiking shoes or boots for this trail, and use trekking poles for stability on the rougher and steeper sections. Pack food and water in your pack, and plan to stop for a lunch break when we reach the falls area.
