Walk 7/2 Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls

Sorry, this trip is full. Contact Andy to be added to the waiting list

3-4 miles, 250 feet elevation gain.

Trip description

Discover a beautiful and historic spot in Olympia in a gorge along the Deschutes River featuring three cascading waterfalls. Although it's just a stone's throw off I-5, many of us in the north end of Puget Sound (including me!) aren't familiar with this landmark area. The park has been operated since 1962 by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, a charitable organization with ties to the Olympia Brewing Company. There are nicely constructed walkways and bridges, and the area is landscaped with many native plants and trees. The park is fairly small, with less than a mile of trails, but we will fill out the day with stops at some other parks in the Olympia area, including a walk along lovely Capitol Lake.

75 US dollars
Meet at Everett Station Park & Ride Lot B. Look for large white passenger van.
