Walk 5/1 Mercer Slough Pk via light rail
3-4 miles, minimal elevation gain.
Trip description
Want to check out the new light rail service across Lake Washington, and take a pleasant walk while you're over in Bellevue? This trip checks both of those boxes. The South Bellevue station on the new 2 Line is directly adjacent to Mercer Slough Nature Park, a wonderful 320-acre oasis that offers easy walking a secluded wetland area just minutes from downtown Bellevue. Several miles of gentle paved and wood chip trails traverse the park, allowing you to walk along placid waterways rich with birds and plant life, visit an excellent environmental education center, and see an active blueberry farm. Your trip fee covers the cost of your round trip transportation on the bus from Everett to Lynnwood and the light rail to Bellevue.
