4 miles, 50 feet elevation gain.

Trip description

Visit one of the largest collections of rhododendron species in the world, right here in our area, in Federal Way. The garden features about 850 species on its 24-acres, and with spring in full swing, it should be a great time to visit. We'll have a guided tour of the gardens, and will also visit the adjacent Pacific Bonsai Museum. It should be a treat for anyone who loves colorful rhody blossoms, fragrant azaleas, and wonderous plants of all shapes and sizes. Note that we will be taking public transportation all the way from Everett Station to the Botanical Gardens and back. Cost of transportation and admission to the garden and museum are all covered by your trip fee.
