Walk 1/30 East Lake Sammamish Trail
3 - 6 miles, minimal elevation gain.
Trip description
What started out as a rail line in 1889 to connect to coal mines and timber mills has evolved into one of the nicest paths in King County's Regional Trails network. The 11-mile paved path along Lake Sammamish connects with other trails to form a 44-mile link for non-motorized travel from Seattle to the Cascade Foothills. Come join us for a mid-winter stroll on this scenic and relaxing route as we walk the northern section of the trail, finishing at Marymoor Park. Extensive improvements in recent years have been undertaken, so the trail now should be nicer than it's ever been.
