Trip description
Follow a first-rate national park trail through majestic old-growth forests, climbing steadily to a pair of pristine sub-alpine lakes that are as scenic as any in the park. Located in the northeast corner of Mount Rainier National Park, lying not far from the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Crystal Lakes are often overlooked by people heading toward the more well-known areas. Hike to the first lake about 2.5 miles in, and if you're up for more, continue another 0.5 mile and 400 feet higher to the upper lake. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of elk, bear, or mountain goats. Trip cost includes national park permit fees.

To cancel from a trip, contact Andy via email or text. Cancellations more than two weeks before a trip receive a full refund minus a $15 fee. Cancellations more than 3 days but less than 2 weeks before the trip receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refund on cancellations 3 days or less before the trip. Some trips may be changed with short notice due to unforeseen conditions. You're encouraged to go along with the alternate plan, but are entitled to a full refund if you opt out.
