Trip description
One of the benefits stemming from our low-snow winter this year is that trails like this one will be snow-free and in great shape much earlier in the year. Join us for our first return to Rainier this year and explore this loop trip near Longmire. It features a nice well-built trail that switchbacks up through a grand old growth forest to a ridge top at over 4000 feet elevation. There are a couple of splendid overlooks to take in the surroundings, and lots of cool shade to make things comfortable on warm days. The return portion of the loop is part of the Wonderland Trail, the famous 90+-mile route that encircles Rainier. Trip fee includes national park permit costs. Note that you may be subject to a separate park entry fee ($15) if you don't have an annual or senior pass.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel from a trip, contact Andy via email or text. Cancellations more than two weeks before a trip receive a full refund minus a $15 fee. Cancellations more than 3 days but less than 2 weeks before the trip receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refund on cancellations 3 days or less before the trip. Some trips may be changed with short notice due to unforeseen conditions. You're encouraged to go along with the alternate plan, but are entitled to a full refund if you opt out.
