Hike 5/23 White Chuck Bench Trail

Trip description
Here's a nice mellow forest trail near Darrington that's snow-free and ready to hike weeks before many of the high country trails. It never gets very busy here, making it a good choice on the Memorial Day Weekend. The trailhead is near the White Chuck and Sauk River confluence, and the trail rambles easily along a near-flat section of forest a couple hundred feet above the riverbank. Spring wildflowers should be appearing here, and there's even a few surprise glimpses of the rugged mountain peaks high above. Note that we'll be hiking out-and-back from the west end of the trail only.

To cancel from a trip, contact Andy via email or text. Cancellations more than two weeks before a trip receive a full refund minus a $15 fee. Cancellations more than 3 days but less than 2 weeks before the trip receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refund on cancellations 3 days or less before the trip. Some trips may be changed with short notice due to unforeseen conditions. You're encouraged to go along with the alternate plan, but are entitled to a full refund if you opt out.
