Hike 11/7 Twanoh St. Pk./ Guillemot Cove
5 miles round trip, 500 - 800 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
This double-feature of short hikes west of Bremerton features some great scenery along Hood Canal, and the chance to hike along a creek that's an ideal spot to see migrating chum salmon. We'll begin at Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve, where a forest trail leads down to a secluded beach with view across to the Olympic Mountains, and a few curiosities invite explorations. Then we head to Twanoh State Park, which features not just the salmon, but a beautiful forested canyon with some old growth trees. Trip cost includes ferry fees.
