Hike 10/5 Sheep Lake / Sourdough Gap
4 - 6 miles, 500 - 1100 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
Head up to Chinook Pass on the eastern edge of Mount Rainier National Park for some high country scenery and fall colors as we hike the Pacific Crest Trail to a pretty little lake and some alpine meadows. We'll look down on Highway 410 as it descends the east slopes toward Yakima, and gradually gain elevation on the well-maintained PCT. Stop at the lake for a gentle, relaxing day, or continue up to Sourdough Gap for the maximum workout and views. Rainier, Adams, and scores of other peaks should be visible.

To cancel from a trip, contact Andy via email or text. Cancellations more than two weeks before a trip receive a full refund minus a $15 fee. Cancellations more than 3 days but less than 2 weeks before the trip receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refund on cancellations 3 days or less before the trip. Some trips may be changed with short notice due to unforeseen conditions. You're encouraged to go along with the alternate plan, but are entitled to a full refund if you opt out.
