Bike 6/6 Green River & Interurban Trails
15 - 30+ miles, minimal elevation gain.
Trip description
Take a relaxing ride through south King County on an all-paved bike trail that hugs the Green River from Tukwila to Kent. This is one of the longest continuous paved trails in the Puget Sound Region. The trail is safely designed, with convenient overpasses and underpasses that keep you separated from any busy roads or highways. The surprisingly peaceful trail route passes through many parkland areas, and there are some good views of Mt. Rainier and the Cascades too. This will be a one-way ride north to south, with my van acting as support vehicle. You can ride most or all of the Green River Trail's 19.2 miles, and then if you feel like riding more, you can connect onto the Interurban Trail and continue south as far as Auburn, making a 30-mile ride. The terrain is gentle throughout, so no steep hills to climb. The ride is suitable for any bike in good working condition. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are welcome too.
