Walk 5/12 Stanley Park & La Casa Gelato
Starting out on the seawall trail with downtown Vancouver across the way

Canada Place, with it's signature sails, across Vancouver Harbor

Lots of lovely trees in the park

Brockton Point, marking the easternmost extent of the park.

The First Nations Totems are a reminder of the first residents of the area

A personal favorite character of mine. He's the "low man on the totem pole" but very affectionate!

Walking the Seawall Trail on a sunny spring day in Vancouver

Saw several herons walking in the shallow waters off-shore

Excuse me--did you ask her for permission first?

Mother goose

Rounding the north side of the park toward Lions Gate Bridge

Heron close up

Sea star in the shallow tidal waters

Lions Gate Bridge tower is 364 feet high. The road sits 200 feet above the water

Passing the bridge, the seawall faces Burrard Inlet, with high cliffs along the side

Anybody see a dolphin here?

Siwash Rock, a notable landmark along the Seawall Trail

Palm tree at Third Beach

Nicely-crafted rock cairns dotted the area near Second Bach

Strolling through the rhododendrons gardens

This is why I like to do this trip in May
