Snowshoe 2/15 Heather Meadows / Bagley Lakes
Cars lined the entire loop road at Heather Meadows as everyone flocked here for the sun and powder

We had to park at Picture Lake, and walk over 1/2 mile to the usual trailhead

Cars, cars, and more cars

Ahh, fresh powder at last

Snowshoeing on the deep snow in Heather Meadows

Beautiful scenery wherever you looked

Heading toward the visitor center in the meadows

Checking out a snow cave next to the tracks

It must have been occupied by a group of three people that spent the night in it.

The cave was surprisingly spacious and comfortable

Table Mountain, the classic view of the visitor center

Back porch of the visitor center. It's closed in the winter, and buried in 8 feet of snow

Following the tracks under a brilliant sunny sky

Slightly tricky trail next to Bagley Creek

Snow depth is low, but still several feet thick up there

Heading down the valley of Bagley Creek

Lots of snowshoers and backcountry skiers out on the trails

Obligatory Mt. Shuksan photo
