Hike 2/12 Spruce Railroad Trail / Lake Crescent
Beginning stretches of the Spruce Railroad Trail near the East Beach Road Trailhead

The trail was paved about 6 years ago, as part of the larger Olympic Discover Trail improvements.

The footbridge at Devils Punchbowl is a scenic highlight of the trail

This is a deep lake, over 600 feet deep in places. Even under this bridge, the lake is nearly 100 feet deep.

There are two tunnels to go through on the trail

Our exit point for the trail was a here, the site of a long-forgotten railroad stop.
