Hike 10/24 Diablo Lake Trail
Beautiful sunrise colors as we departed from Everett
Sign at trailhead promoting the Diablo Lake Ferry
Trail featured some big evergreens and some colorful leaves
Seattle City Light workers were hauling supplies to a work site with a motorized wheelbarrow.
The vine maples showing their yellows were especially nice
Gaps in the trees gave views of Pyramid Peak
At a powerline clearing, Colonial and Pyramid dominated the view
Davis Peak was another high peak in view
Looking down into the deep gorge below the trail

As the trail dropped into the canyon, the face of Ross Dam became visible
A long footbridge crosses the river at the bottom of the gorge
Ross Dam and part of the powerhouse.
The walk to the boat dock included a short tunnel section.
Diablo ferry dock. About 2 dozen people waiting on the arrival of the boat
Accommodation on board the ferry. Better than hiking back in the rain!
