Walk 7/22 Evans Creek Preserve & Trail
3 miles, 300 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
Explore one of the Eastside's finest and best-maintained walking parks, and then discover a pleasant short walking path near the same small creek . Opened in the fall of 2011 by the City of Sammamish, the Evans Creek Preserve is a 179-acre area of wetlands and meadows has 2.6 miles of excellent, natural-surface trails. There are numerous well-constructed bridges, boardwalks and viewing platforms, and chances to see birds and other wildlife. After that, we'll check out the Evans Creek Trail, a short but sweet paved path nearby that provides a mile or so of peaceful pacing.
