Walk 4/8 Sumner Link Trail
3 - 6 miles, minimal elevation gain.
Trip description
It seems like more and more communities are developing wonderful walking paths that offer residents and visitors a bit of a quiet space within the busy city. The Pierce County city of Sumner has one, and it's a delightful paved path running north and south following the White River. The trail is a "link" in a system that will eventually connect the King County Interurban Trail and Pierce County Foothills Trail. Our route will go from north to south, crossing over the river on two pedestrian bridges, and concluding at the confluence of the White and Puyallup Rivers. Expect an occasional view of Mt. Rainier too, if the weather is clear.
