Walk 2/9 Northwest Trek
1 - 2 miles, 100 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
It's time to discover (or re-discover) the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park near Eatonville. It's certainly our region's best place to view a variety of over 40 animal species that are native to the Northwest. Winter is a great time to visit, as the park is quieter and many of the animals are more active. There are new arrivals too, like a couple of baby racoons, a bison calf, and young elk and deer that were all born in 2024. Also new to the park is an all-electric tram that takes visitors through the free-roaming area. You're almost guaranteed to have close encounters with bison, elk, mountain goats, and other animals on the tram ride. The trip fee includes your admission ticket and tram ride.
