Walk 11/14 Puget Sound Troll Hunting
up to 3 miles, 100 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
Giant trolls have been popping up recently in several locations around Puget Sound-- what's the deal? It's part of an ambitious public art project featuring the work of a Danish environmental artist named Thomas Dambo. His whimsical creations are crafted from recycled materials, and are meant to underscore the ways in which the natural world wastes nothing, and finds use for everything. Trolls are currently found in publicly-accessible natural areas in Issaquah, West Seattle, and on Bainbridge Island. Let's go check out these unique and thought-provoking works of art-- and get in some nice exercise while doing so. There are no long hikes to get to the trolls, but we'll fashion a healthy bit of walking during our discoveries.
