Walk 10/8 Arboretum & Japanese Garden

4 miles, 200 feet elevation gain.

Trip description

October means the maples are putting on a show at the Seattle Japanese Gardens, so it's a great time to head down there for a walk. We'll tour the gardens, taking in the stunning colors of the maples, and walk through the Washington Park Arboretum right across the street as well. We'll travel down to the University District using transit-- the Community Transit Route 512 double-decker bus from Everett Station to Lynnwood, and the Sound Transit Light Rail, newly opened and running from Lynnwood on down. I'll provide the ORCA Cards, so your transit cost is included in the trip price, as is your admission to the garden. After touring the Japanese Garden, we'll walk to the nearby Oxbow Bakery and grab lunch before heading back home.
