Snowshoe 3/16 Gold Creek - Last Chance?
2 - 4 miles, 200 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
Changes are coming to this wonderfully scenic valley near Snoqualmie Pass, where thousands of snowshoers have enjoyed the gentle terrain for so many decades. A major restoration project that will improve the stream flow for the endangered bull trout is slated to get underway in 2025. It's a much-needed environmental fix, but this could impact access to Gold Creek for the next 5-10 years, and will change the face of some of the landscape there. With that in mind, let's venture into the valley one more time to walk in the snow and see the natural amphitheater of mountain peaks that surround it.
