Hike 9/25 Elliott Creek / Goat Lake
5 - 9 miles, 600 - 1300 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
Walk a peaceful forest trail alongside a quintessential Cascades creek, complete with giant trees, carpets of moss, an array of interesting mushrooms, and the non-stop soundtrack of rushing water. Elliott Creek flows out of Goat Lake near the Monte Cristo region, and the well-maintained trail that follows it gives a nice workout without ever being steep or difficult. Take the time to enjoy all the charms of this wilderness valley, or if you're feeling ambitious, continue on up to Goat Lake, and check out one of the most picturesque spots in Snohomish County.
