Hike 7/23 Gold Creek Trail

Trip description
Here's a nice trail into a broad creek valley near Snoqualmie Pass with plenty of rewards and few difficulties. The trail (with some short road sections) ventures into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in a rich forest with frequent close encounters with Gold Creek. Clearings provide splendid views of the ring of mountains around the valley. Because of the easy nature of this hike, many of the crowds that throng the I-90 corridor on weekends ignore it, making this a more peaceful, less hectic place to be. Note that this trail only overlaps about 10% with the visit to Gold Creek Pond on the July 9 Hyas Lakes hike.
