Trip description

Here's a nice viewpoint trail near Easton off I-90. There's relatively easy access (five minutes from the freeway) and a well-maintained (but steep) trail that climbs through forests to gradually expanding views. The site of an old airplane navigational beacon is reached at around 4600 feet, where there are views overlooking the Yakima River Valley extending toward Mt. Rainier and numerous Snoqualmie Pass area peaks. We should be there at the right time for some great wildflowers too.
