Hike 5/25 Sultan River Canyon

4 miles, 900 feet elevation gain.

Trip description

Here's a fun and scenic hike by Spada Lake near Sultan. It's a great out-of-the-way place to go on a holiday weekend when so many other spots are crowded. We start by Culmback Dam on Spada Lake, which has a great mountain vista right near the trailhead, and then follow a gated road that leads to the canyon trail. We drop downhill on the nicely-graded switchbacks, eventually reaching the Sultan River at the bottom, and some nice lunch spots. Along the way you can enjoy a peaceful forest, lots of wildflowers to identify, and plenty of cascading streams. Save energy for the hike back up out of the canyon.

70 US dollars
Meet at Everett Station Park & Ride Lot A. Look for large white passenger van.
