6 miles, 1200 feet elevation gain
Take an invigorating fall walkabout to the second-highest point on the Kitsap Peninsula, a 1,600-foot-high hill west of Bremerton. Push for a good workout going up, and treat yourself to surprisingly sweet views of Seattle, the Cascades and the Olympics from the top. This is a well-built trail that's a favorite of Kitsap area hikers, and is part of an extensive trail system managed as a state forest. Registration includes ferry fees.
