Hike 1/20 Hansville Greenway and more
4-5 miles, 100 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
We need an excuse to take the ferry over to Kingston and stop at the Borrowed Kitchen Bakery right? We'll do that for sure on this trip, then for good measure, we'll hike some of the nice all-season trails found on the northern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula. The Hansville Greenway offers quiet trails that wind through forest and wetland areas, with good opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. We'll also make a couple of short stops at scenic coastal areas, checking out the beach at Foulweather Bluff Preserve, and the lighthouse at Point No Point. We'll have views of Whidbey Island, the Olympic Peninsula, and if we're lucky, some of the Cascades as well. The trip fee includes ferry cost.
