Hike 1/14 Bellevue Lake to Lake Trail
8 miles, 600 feet elevation gain.
Trip description
"A great place to hike" is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Bellevue, but this trip might make you change your mind. The Lake to Lake Trail is a route from Lake Sammamish to Lake Washington that connects several parks and green belts as it traverses the city. The route is a mixture of sidewalks, wide easy pathways, and natural-surface trails that are often in quiet, secluded surroundings. At times, you'll forget you're in the city. Among the features along the route are the Lake Hills Greenbelt, Kelsey Creek Park, Bellevue Botanic Gardens, the Downtown Park, and the wharf at Meydenbauer Park. We'll do a one-way route and I'll have a helper to move to van from our start point to our finish point.
