Bike 10/15 Apple Capital Loop Trail

10 - 20 miles, 200 feet elevation gain.

Trip description

Take a scenic fall color drive over the mountains to Wenatchee, and ride one of the finest bike trails in the Northwest, the Apple Capital Loop Trail. The trail straddles the Columbia River, with bridges at each end, and passes through several parks and natural areas, as well as the heart of Wenatchee. There's no riding with traffic-- the trail hugs the riverside much of the way, and is separated from any streets or highways. Do a lap around the 10-mile loop, or do TWO laps (one each direction suggested). There are also options for lunch stops while passing through the city, or find a quiet spot in one of the parks for an outdoor lunch. The trail is paved, so any bike in good working condition will do.
