Walk 5/17 Barnum Point Preserve

Trip description

Explore this relatively new 167-acre park on Camano Island that contains a treasure trove of trails along the beaches and bluffs of Port Susan Bay. Thanks to the efforts of the Whidbey-Camano Land Trust, this ecological gem opened as an Island County Park in August 2019 and is now preserved for public use. Enjoy the shoreline views, springtime greenery and abundant wildlife as we sample the excellent trail system. Natural-surface paths, mostly very smooth with possible wet or muddy areas.
