Walk 5/4 Stanley Park / La Casa Gelato

Starting out on the Seawall Trail

Visited the beautiful totem poles and reflected on the First Nations people who were the inhabitants of the park area

The totem poles are one of, if not the most visited tourist attractions in all of Canada

My personal favorite is called Dzunukwa, the Giantess

Also loved this bronze sculpture, a tribute to the ways of life of the Native peoples

I thought-- now there's one bad ass fisherman

Lumberman's Arch, on the site of a long-ago First Nations village, also happened to be our lunch spot. Good fish & chips at the concession stand.

Cruise ship entering the bay

Lions Gate bridge. Built in 1938, it passed 200 feet above Burrard Inlet

Siwash Rock, a unique sea stack passed by the Seawall Trial

Looks almost tropical

Approaching the rhododendron gardens. Lots of pretty blossoms

It's that time of the year for the Canada Geese

Made it to the world's best gelato shop. In case you're wondering, I had White Chocolate Nutella, Coconut Chocolate Chip, and Campfire Smores.
