Walk 3/14 Meadowbrook Farm Preserve
The Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center, where we met Mary and started our walk.

Lots of nice informative signage around the property, helping educate visitors

Having a look around inside the Interpretive Center, which was built mainly of cedar in the early 2000's

Walking paths usually followed the perimeter of the meadows, allowing for nice views of Mt. Si and other peaks.

A fancy weathervane-type sign to identify the mountains around the valley

Rattlesnake Mountain, with a dusting of fresh snow

Heading into a forested section of trail. Other than occasional puddles, trails were great.

Heading out into an open area to look for the elk herd. No luck though.

Mount Si

Another informative sign about the elk habitat

Nice boardwalk section through a wet area.

We were told the elk can usually be seen in the evenings, more often in summer.

The Snoqualmie Tribe has been a presence at Meadowbrook as well, as displayed in these carvings in the Interp Center
