The start of the beach at Double Bluff

Walking the wide sandy beach

Stopping at a big boulder (glacial erratic) on the beach. Geologists have determined this boulder was carried about 28 miles by the ice age glaciers 13,000 years ago.

Bluffs are over 300 feet high in places.

Close examination of the sediment layers in the bluff tells the geologic history.

Rounding the point at the 2 mile mark where we turned back
