Walk 11/14 Puget Sound Troll Hunting

Our first stop was in Issaquah to see this fellow, who goes by the name of Jacob Twotrees

Most of the sculpture is made from recycled scrap wood

Jakob has a necklace made of bird houses

Jakob's foot.

Next, we went to Lincoln Park in West Seattle. A pretty walk along the waterfront leads to the troll.

Each of the trolls has a little back story, and a poem written by Thomas Dambo, the artist.

Bruun Idun here is playing a little flute (or horn?)

The trolls are about 10-15 feet high

Riding the ferry on a beautiful sunny day, bound for Vashon Island

This is Oskar the Bird King, located near Point Robinson

Oskar has a throne built of logs

Most of the trolls took about 2 weeks of work on site to assemble. Dozens of workers assist Dambo on the project.

We took a walk to the nearby Point Robinson Lighthouse.

We could've sat of the beach and stared at Mt. Rainier all afternoon, but there were more trolls to see.

Now we're on Bainbridge Island, viewing Pia the Peacekeeper

Time for one last troll, this one in Ballard, called Frankie Feetsplinters
