Snowshoe 2/28 Kendall Peak Lakes
Making our way up the long road to the lakes

Views open to the south toward the Summit Ski Area and Silver Peak

Nice track through the crusty snow surface

Getting closer to the end of the road

Mt. Rainier pokes its head into view

Approaching the first lake

There are three small lakes that comprise the Kendall Peak Lakes. This is the lower lake.

About 5 feet of snow on the ground here, elevation 4400 feet.

The second lake comes into view

Lunch break at the second lake. Very quiet and peaceful setting.

The view from the middle of the lake

The outlet stream from the lake flowed through a small snow canyon

The many tops of Kendall Peak formed the backdrop at the lakes

Sunny day, temps in the 40's. Hardly needed a jacket today.
