Hike 8/9 Spray Park and Falls
Saw a coyote on the drive to Mowich Lake
Mowich Lake, mirror-like in the morning stillness
On the trail through the forest
Rainier view from Eagle Cliff overlook
Hazy skies, but the Mountain was out
Monkeyflow alongside the trail
Spray Falls
Emerging into Spray Park, elevation 5500 feet
Hessong Rock and Mount Pleasant rise above the meadows of Spray Park
Mount Rainier appeared ghostly in the haze
Flowers, flowers, and more flowers in the meadows
As we hiked higher, the terrain was more open and rocky
Avalanche lilies above 6000 feet
Mother Mountain
Gentian showing off their brilliant deep blue
Unidentified flower near the creek in Spray Park
King Bolete mushrooms
Heading back through the forest
