Hike 7/1 West Fork Miller River

Big old growth cedar just 0.1 mile up the trail

West Fork Miller was usually alongside us

Huge leaves of the devils club

Typical rocky cascades of the West Fork Miller

Stone stairs that had been crafted to move the trail around a washout

Lot of delicate little flowers like the foam flower

Tiger Lily with a temporary passenger

Cow Parsnip growing tall against the backdrop of the towering mountainsides

Clearing along the West Fork Miller. Water flow was moderate, not raging as it would be in peak snowmelt time.

Coney Creek was our turnaround point. Creek would've been difficult to cross, and trail deteriorated beyond

Canadian Dogwood (on Canada Day)

Driving back on Miller River Road, a full on view of the mountainside burned by the Bolt Creek Fire

Back in Skykomish, we walked over to the Train Museum and saw the miniature train running
