Hike 6/3 Teanaway Community Forest

A Teanaway Valley resident was out on a training hike with his llamas. This is the same man we saw at Naches Peak Loop last August. Had a nice chat with him.

Wildflowers were nice. Penstemon seen here.

A splash of color from the Indian Paintbrush

Arriving at Bible Rock, a huge slab of rock with great views of the Teanaway region.

Climbing to the "summit" of Bible Rock

The fold in the rock seen here resembles an open book. I suspect this is why it was dubbed Bible Rock. There's also a nearby youth camp of the same name.

Odd shapes of rock seen from the top

Bitterroot could be found blooming in amongst the sea of rock

Sandstone pillar along the side of the gated road

Typical terrain we walked through

Cheese Rock. Note the holes and cavities found on the rock's face

View from the top of Cheese Rock

Cheese. Rock.

Group at Cheese Rock

Working our way down the slabby rock face
