Hike 5/14 Fourth of July Creek Trail

Chocolate Lily

Much of the first 2/3 of the hike looked like this

Snow dominated the upper reaches of the trail. We stopped well below Icicle Ridge

Even took the snowshoes up there

Hints of partial clearing after 2pm

Balsamroot, normally in abundance here in May, was struggling

Clouds parted enough to allow a little blue sky and mountain peaks to appear

Day ended like this. Our timing wasn't so good today.
