Hike 12/15 Coal Creek Trail
The low-angled winter sun found a way to shine on the trail
Trail often hugs the bank of Coal Creek. Salmon can be found in this creek
Numerous areas of blow-down trees from the November storm had been nicely cleared, and the trail was in great shape
Towering bigleaf maple trees with moss and ferns blanketing the trunks
More creekside scenery
Admiring the skirt of ferns on this giant maple
Well-constructed trail was pleasant to hike
More storm cleanup

One of several solidly constructed bridges on the trail
Licorice Fern
