Hike 11/19 Garfield Ledges and Oxbow Loop
We crossed the Rainbow Bridge at Middle Fork Trailhead to take in the views
Mount Garfield covered in November snow
The ledges that we would hike to are on the lower left of the mountain face
Snow on the foot bridges, watch your step
Crossed over the Taylor River en route to the Ledges Trail
Trailhead kiosk. The trail itself is less than a mile, but climbs enough to give you a workout
Snow stuck in areas that weren't below the tree canopy
A view looking into Taylor River Valley
From the viewpoint at the ledges, overlooking the Middle Fork Valley
An honorary group member poses for a photo at the ledges
Walking through the mossy forest
Over 75 stair-steps required careful footwork
On the Oxbow Loop Trail
The lake is a remnant of an old river channel that separated from the main river
Some huge stumps
