Trailhead at Samish Overlook wasa busy place
Great view overlooking the Skagit Valley from Samish Overook
WTA work party was building new trail near the trailhead
Lots of old stumps providing home for opportunistic plants
Some fall colors still in sight
Lily Lake was reached after a 2.5 mile hike.
Nice benches beside the lake made a perfect lunch/resting spot
A few minutes up the trail from Lily Lake was the overlook from North Butte
