Bike 7/2 Palouse to Cascades Trail - Snoqualmie Pass to North Bend

Gearing up to go at the Hyak Trailhead, just east of Snoqualmie Pass

Approaching the Snoqualmie Tunnel, opened in 1914, used until 1980.

Tunnel is over 2 miles long. A bright headlamp is a must. Lots of cyclists and walkers using the tunnel
Coming out the west end of tunnel

Trestle over Hall Creek

Looking south across the I-90 valley toward the high ridge that runs most of the way up to the pass
Riding across the bridge

Forest tunnel near Cedar Falls Trailhead

Foxglove

Approaching the 20-mile mark
Nearing the Reinig Bridge where our ride ended

View of Snoqualmie River and Mt. Si from Reinig Bridge

Snoqualmie River. The trail continues from here as the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, running all the way to Duvall. But that's another ride for another day.
