Sunday, November 2 -  Cooper River and Lake (where is this?) --
Daylight Savings Time ends Saturday Night.  Set your clocks BACK one hour before
going to bed.
Departs at 7:30am.  Trip is currently FULL.  This trail near Salmon La
Sac should be in good condition, although expect fall's typical wet, muddy, slippery
spots in places.  Fall colors are in decline, but the forests are still nice, and the river
and lake views should be good too.  There is no snow yet on this trail.  Our elevation
will begin at about 2400' and top out at about 2800.'
WEATHER FORECAST

Friday, November 7 - Barclay Lake (where is this?) --  Leader not yet
determined.  Departs at 8:30am.  Spaces are available for this trip.  A nice hike on a
mellow trail that is in good conditon.  Expect the usual wetness and mud that can be
present for any fall hike.  The hike begins at 2200' and reaches the lake at 2400.'
WEATHER FORECAST

Sunday, November 9 - Rattlesnake Ledge (where is this?) --  Led by
Sharell Thompson.  Departs at 9:00am.  Spaces are available for this trip.  This is an
excellent trail and a nice workout, though not long or difficult.  You begin at about 900' in
elevation near Rattlesnake Lake, and climb steadily to the viewpoint at about 2000.'
WEATHER FORECAST

Saturday, November 15 - Hemlock Trail/ Raptor Ridge (where is
this?
) --  Led by Carl Prince.  Departs at 8:00am.  Spaces are available for this trip.
This is a pleasant trail that frequently follows abandoned roads.  Should be in
reasonably good condition.  Begin from the North Chuckanut Trailhead in south
Bellingham (elev. 100'), and climb steadily to the viewpoint on Raptor Ridge (elev.
1600').  Views of Mt. Baker if the weather is clear.
WEATHER FORECAST

Friday, November 21 - Midweek Walkers - Al Borlin Park & Lunch --
Departs at 8:30am.  Trip is currently FULL (as of Oct. 30).  The walking trails at Borlin
Park in Monroe are very nice, and have occasional views of the Skykomish River.
Unfortunately, the Wicked Baking Company went out of business this summer, so our
post-walk lunch stop will be changed.  We'll instead go to the Collector's Choice
Restaurant in Snohomish.  To see their lunch menu,

Saturday,  November 22 - North Bend Bar & Grill / Little Si Hike --
(
where is this?)  Departs at 7:00am.  Spaces are available for this trip.  We start
with breakfast in downtown North Bend.  I've been here many time, both for breakfast
and dinner, and have always been very satisfied.  After breakfast, it's a short drive to the
Little Si TRail, and a nice scenic way to work off the calories.  The trail is well-travelled
and should be in good condition, but do expect some steep areas, and some wet or
muddy trail.  Elevation begins at about 500,' and the top of Little Si is about 1600.'
WEATHER FORECAST

Sunday, November 23 - Waterfall Hunting along Highway 2 -- (where
is this?
)  Departs at 8am.  Spaces are available.  We visit several waterfalls which
are reached by short walks.  Some of them are rugged, slippery, muddy paths, so we'll
take care to make sure everybody can get to the best possible viewpoints.  Definitely a
good trip to bring walking stick/trekking poles.  Elevation varies, but we won't go any
higher than about 2200.'
