Twas  delightful in the sunshine today.  We had a ski trip with ten people, and only two actually skied.  The Mountain Loop Highway at Deer Creek was our starting point, and since the snow there is basically frozen solid, it was just as easy to walk without anything on your feet.

We're heading up there again on Tuesday evening for our Moonlight extravaganza, and wouldn't you know, the weather looks like it's going to hold out.  Amazing.

If you're going on that trip, you might seriously consider leaving snowshoes at home.  Of course, if you like that loud CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH sound, more power to you.  Poles would be optional, since you're going on level ground the whole way.  Gaiters are optional too--you just don't sink in, so no problem there.

By the way, thanks to everyone for the cards and little goodies for my birthday.  You're the best!
