You should have your Spring Guide by now, or if not, you can pick one up at the Rec Office. You'll notice a lot of new hikes in there.
The wild weather over this fall and winter is going to be felt out there. Many trails are out of commission for now, and many others are in unknown condition, or will be quite rough for a while. Still, there will be lots of good hiking out there.
I'd like to direct everyone's attention to Page 20 in the Spring Guide. This year, for the first time, we're going to organize a trail work party with Washington Trails Association. What better time could there be to get a group of EverettParks hikers out to help clean up the damage to one of our region's trails. I'm very excited about this event, and I hoping to see a great turnout. You'll be seeing and hearing a lot more about this event. For now, mark your calendar for Saturday, April 28. It's free, we provide the transportation, and WTA provides the tools and training.
