Space is available NOW for the following upcoming trips (click on the link to see
additional details):
Tuesday, October 28 - San Juan Island (easy-- easier trails than the trip on the 19th)
Saturday, October 25 - Beaver Lake ( easy)
Friday, November 7 - Barclay Lake (easy)
Sunday, November 9- Rattlesnake Ledge (moderately strenuous)
Saturday, November 15 - Hemlock Trail & Raptor Ridge (moderately strenuous)
Saturday, November 22 - North Bend Bar & Grill/ Little Si Hike (moderately strenuous)
Call the Everett Parks Recreation Office to register, (425) 257-8300,
or go on-line to SignMeUp.EverettWA.org
I am happy to have so much interest in my trips, but I sympathize with the frustration
some of you are feeling over getting left out. I know people who tried to register as
soon as registration began, and by the time they got through, many of the trips they
requested had already filled. Sometimes trips fill up in the first 15 minutes that
registration is open.
In the meantime, we encourage you to put your name on the waiting lists for trips
you'd really like to do. There will definitely be some openings offered to wait list people
(there always are) and if you keep your plans free, chances are good that you'll get an
opportunity.
Participants are always welcome to drop in on the day of the trip and register in
person, provided there's room. Please note: I led 12 trips in a row recently that all were
full at some point, but NONE of the trips actually was full on trip day (due to late
cancellations, no shows, etc.). Especially if you are coming by yourself, there's an
excellent chance you'll get to go if you show up at the park and "fly stand-by."
